– The work complex REINS is a further development of my de- and reconstructions in a direction that might ostensibly be described as pictorial-ironic-fetishistic; in essence, it is about dealing with the definition of time "as the flowing space" (F.W.J. Schelling).

These "reins" are leather structures based on spatial models that are usually taken from photographs, film stills or drawings. The pliable material allows the original form to dissolve and leads to something that provokes other perceptions of the underlying structures and beyond. For some works, for example, I have used the bell tower from Alfred Hitchcock's film "Vertigo". In addition to the basic form of presentation as a wall/floor sculpture, one of these structures freed from its photographic basis was also arranged for photographic pictures, used for a photo-montage, but above all thrown out like a cast net to land as a random sculpture at its place of presentation.
